New store to aid art charity

AN organisation that supports disabled and disadvantaged people across the city has been chosen as the official charity of a new Sainsbury's supermarket that opened today.

Artlink director Janbert Van Denberg was asked to cut the opening ribbon at the West Port store today, marking a link between Sainsbury's and his charity.

Artlink, based on Spittal Street, gives people opportunities to get involved in the arts on many different levels and has operated in Edinburgh since 1984.
