New school pitches in
PLANS have been lodged for an artificial pitch to be created at a new city school.
The new St Augustine's RC High School already has consent for a two grass pitches and tennis courts.
But the school has now applied for them to be changed to all-weather floodlit pitches, with 15-metre high lighting columns.

Hide AdIn a report on the application recommending approval, the council's head of planning, John Bury, said: "The proposals have been revised to meet the council's requirements in terms of light spillage."
