New sale to put boots in

A BATTLE of the boots is set to break out in the Capital following the launch of a new car boot sale in Meadowbank.

Meadowbank Stadium managers Edinburgh Leisure said the new two-day sale, run by Glasgow-based company Scorpion, is due to take place in the stadium car park every weekend from today.

Tomorrow's sale will face competition from the Greenside Place sale less than a mile away, which has been run in the NCP car park by South Queensferry-based company Bonnie Scotland Promotions for the last 15 years.
