New photo released in hunt for Suzanne Pilley

POLICE have released a fresh photograph of missing Edinburgh woman Suzanne Pilley in the hope it will jog the memory of potential witnesses.

Today, Ms Pilley's father said the family were completely baffled by her disappearance.

Robert Pilley, 67, of Stenhouse Grove, also said police had ruled out any connection between his daughter's disappearance and a recent split from her boyfriend.

Mr Pilley said: "She texted me and her mum – within half an hour, she was gone. How someone can vanish into thin air, I don't know. She has no history of anything like this."

He said his daughter had not been at all depressed and of her recent break-up said: "The police have now discounted any connection between that and her disappearance."

Ms Pilley was last seen on CCTV footage coming out of Sainsbury's, St Andrew Square, at 8:51am on 4 May.

She did not turn up for work at nearby Infrastructure Managers Limited and has been missing ever since.

She is 5ft 4in tall, of slim build with short, light brown, bobbed hair. She was wearing a light blue waterproof jacket, red fleece zipped to the neck, light blue trousers or jeans, and trainers. She was carrying a shoulder bag and a large water bottle when she was last seen.
