New library hits targets

The new library and council offices for the east of Edinburgh are “on track and on budget”.

Council leader Jenny Dawe said that the Craigmillar hub is on track to open at the end of 2012. It will include a library and the new East Neighbourhood Office.

Councillor Dawe said: “This building is contributing greatly to the regeneration of the area and the library will act as a community hub providing a range of activities and facilities.”
