New image showing Loch Ness Monster ‘is a boat’

Andrew Dixon originally came across the image on his iPhone, and told the media: “It was purely by accident that I came across the image. I was trawling through satellite transmissions of different parts of the country and I thought I would try Loch Ness.
“I could see something big under the water and I saved it to my phone. My first thought was that it was the monster, and I contacted Gary Campbell of the Official Loch Ness Monster Club.”

However, a number of sceptics have suggested that the image is a boat’s wake, and that the vessel has been blurred out in keeping with Google and Apple’s tendency to delete or obscure any personally identifying information.
Some internet users believe they have found the boat in question in an image from Google Maps.
The explanation of the sighting will come as a blow to Nessie enthusiasts, who last year were faced with no confirmed sightings of the monster - the first time since 1925.
