New homes seek tenants

TENANTS are being sought for the first homes in a new development.

Eight council houses have been built at Deantown Court, in Whitecraig, East Lothian, with a further 20 due next month.

Councillor Stuart Currie, cabinet member for housing, said: “This development is great news for anyone seeking a new council home as it will create a chain of vacancies.

“By investing in new homes we are also investing in our communities.”
