New curator at galleries

A NEW managing curator has been appointed to head up a collection of modern and contemporary art in the National Galleries of Scotland and the Tate Modern.

Amy Dickson, the former assistant curator at Tate Modern in London, began her new role at the ARTIST ROOMS exhibited in both venues on Monday.

The collection was donated three years ago by Anthony d’Offay.

Ms Dickson takes over from departing curator Lucy Askew, now a senior curator at the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art in Edinburgh.

Ms Dickson said she was “delighted” to be taking up the position and hoped to help realise Anthony d’Offay’s vision “to inspire people through art”.
