New collection boxes for animal charity

One of the UK's best-known charities is changing its public face for the first time in decades.

The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association is introducing a new collection box.

A fibreglass box in the shape of a life-sized Labrador with two pups is replacing the traditional Labrador boxes.

The charity said more than 700 new-style boxes had been made and were awaiting good homes. "No-one can actually remember when the original boxes were introduced and they are wearing out," said a spokeswoman.
