New chapter at city library

Morningside Library is set to undergo a major refurbishment and extension.

Plans have been lodged for an extensive overhaul of the fabric of the building, including new plumbing, repainting and rewiring.

Plans have also been lodged for a new extension on the first floor, overlaying the roof of the building, containing new staff facilities to replace the existing ones which are set to be transformed into a new workroom and disabled toilet.
