New bridge goes Dutch

A LEADING Dutch engineering firm has won a role in supporting the design of the new £1.7 billion Forth crossing.

Grontmij, which has an office in Edinburgh, will assist the Forth Crossing Bridge Constructors consortium, which was awarded the 790 million contract to design and build the structure.

Iain Scott, director of transportation and mobility, said: "This win further cements Grontmij's reputation as one of Scotland's top consultancies."
