Neglect charges over hanged girl, eight

THE mother and stepfather of an eight-year-old girl found hanged in her bedroom appeared in court charged with child neglect.

Simon and Susan Moody, of Mansfield, Notts, were charged after Charlotte Avenall was found dead at their home.

The girl, who had learning disabilities, died in September.
