Nato troops suffer eight new fatalities

Eight Nato service members have died in the past two days of fighting in Afghanistan, where the US-led coalition is still mourning the deaths of 30 US troops and eight Afghans killed when their Chinook helicopter was shot down a week ago.

Five US troops died in a roadside bomb blast on Thursday, and three other Nato soldiers have also since died, making 377 deaths this year.
