Nat Fraser launches new appeal

KILLER Nat Fraser has launched an appeal against his second conviction for murdering his wife.

The 53-year-old was jailed for life and ordered to spend at least 17 years behind bars last month for organising the murder of mother-of-two Arlene Fraser, whose body has never been found.

Fraser was found guilty of the murder in 2003 but his conviction was quashed last year and a fresh trial was granted after the Supreme Court in London ruled that the initial conviction was unsafe.

His legal team has now lodged a notice with the Scottish courts indicating an intention to appeal against the second conviction.

Fraser has consistently denied involvement in the disappearance of his wife, who was 33 when she vanished without trace from her home in New Elgin, Moray, on April 28, 1998.
