Mystery over man's death

DETECTIVES were yesterday investigating the "unexplained" death of a man who died from suspected serious head injuries.

The 50-year-old, who has not been named, was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary after he was found by a member of the public lying in a street in the Rosemount area late on Wednesday night. He died in the early hours of yesterday. A number of streets in the Rosemount Place area remained cordoned off yesterday as forensic teams were called in.

A Grampian Police spokesman said: "It is known the man was in the Rosemount area of the city on Wednesday night.
