Music man given Asbo over noise

A MAN has been given an Asbo banning him from slamming doors and playing loud music in his home.

James Short, 51, of Bellfield Court, Musselburgh, was given the antisocial behaviour order following complaints from neighbours over his behaviour dating back to June 2008.

The terms of the Asbo ban Short from "acting in an antisocial manner or behaving in a way likely to cause alarm and distress to others by shouting, screaming, swearing, arguing, slamming doors and making banging noises in an excessively noisy manner within the property at Bellfield Court and its communal areas" for the next three years.

Councillor Stuart Currie, the council's community safety leader, said: "This Asbo demonstrates that antisocial behaviour will not be tolerated and we will continue to work with police to stamp it out."
