It will be performed by the Hebrides Ensemble at the Canongate Kirk from 8pm, in a programme that also includes Beethoven and Borodin.

The project comes after Wagstaff composed a piece inspired by the work of the University of Edinburgh’s Centre for Science at Extreme Conditions, which was performed at the Science Festival. For more information on Monday’s performance see www.chemistryofmusic.co.uk.
