Music event is tryst so

Some of the most respected traditional musicians in Scotland are set to gather in Newbattle for the forthcoming Music Tryst Festival.

The event, led by traditional music veterans Battlefield Band, will feature concerts, lessons, workshops and informal sessions suitable for all ages.

Other acts set to perform include Alan Reid and Rob Van Sante, Alasdair White, Ali Hutton, Alison Kinnaird, Archie Fisher, Battlefield Band, Mr Boom, Christine Primrose, Ewen Henderson, Mike Katz, Peter Nardini, Sean O'Donnell and Tich Frier.

In addition to the music, visual artists Alison Kinnaird, Peter Nardini and Stephanie Tristam will be exhibiting their work.

The festival will be held at Newbattle Abbey from September 17-19.
