Museum gets ready to open
A FOUR-floor "Window on the World" showcasing 800 objects will form a centrepiece of the revamped National Museum of Scotland when it re-opens to the public on July 29.
The 46 million overhaul of the Chambers Street building also includes the creation of 16 new galleries with a total of 8000 objects, a Wildlife Panorama, an upmarket 100-seat restaurant and a cafe overlooking the grand gallery.
