Murderer on run from open prison

A CONVICTED murderer has gone on the run after failing to return from home leave from the open prison at Castle Huntly, near Dundee.

Tayside Police yesterday appealed for information to help trace 36-year-old Brian Barry McGowan, who was jailed for life at Stirling High Court in 1994.
