Murder trial for teenager

A TEENAGER is to stand trial accused of murdering schoolboy Jack Frew.

Craig Roy was yesterday in the dock for a preliminary hearing at the High Court in Glasgow.

The 18-year-old is charged with killing the teenager by repeatedly stabbing him on the neck and body last on 6 May. The 16-year-old's body was discovered in a wooded area near Mossneuk Road and Wellesley Crescent in East Kilbride.

Roy, of Villafield Court, Cardross, will now stand trial on 3 May, almost a year to the day of the alleged murder.

Judge Lady Clark of Calton continued his bail.
