Mum's vigil after attack

THE mother of a teenager left in a coma after a Facebook house party has been keeping a vigil at her son's bedside.

The 17-year-old, named locally as Brett Lodge, was rushed to hospital after being hit with a baseball bat in Claverhouse Drive, Liberton.

Yesterday, the Evening News told how the party was advertised on Facebook.

A family friend said: "His mum Gillian has been at his bedside since it happened."

Declan Robertson, Andrew Parfinowski and Cameron McKail, all 16, have appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court along with a 15-year-old boy, charged with attempted murder.

They made no plea or declaration and were released on bail.
