Mum's tribute to 22-year-old smash victim

A GRIEVING mother yesterday paid tribute to her daughter, who was killed when her boyfriend's car was involved in a crash near Perth.

Laura Campbell, 22, was a passenger in her boyfriend Euan Tennant's Toyota MR2 when it crashed on the A93 with a southbound 4x4 on Wednesday. Mr Tennant, 21, managed to scramble free from the car, but Ms Campbell was trapped inside.

Her mother, Catherine Campbell, said her daughter was in the middle of a business course, which she was pursuing so she could get onto a graduate management scheme with her current employers, Marks & Spencer.

Speaking from her home in Blairgowrie, Mrs Campbell said: "She was a lovely, wonderful, cheerful, bright, happy daughter. She had lots of friends and was very popular."

Mrs Campbell said Laura had been with her boyfriend for nearly two years.

She said: "They spent a lot of time together, and it's clear they were very much in love.

"I know he was going to be informed just after I was at the hospital."
