Mums-to-be join in picnic

A MASS picnic to celebrate breast feeding has been organised by NHS Lothian.

The event to mark National Breastfeeding Awareness week will take place at Vogri country park in Midlothian on Friday morning, with refreshments and entertainment.

It is seen as another opportunity for the health board to impress upon mothers the importance of breast feeding.

Carolyn Worlock, infant feeding advisor, said: "We have a fun-filled morning planned and hope mums, their families and friends will join us to help celebrate National Breastfeeding Awareness Week.

"We want to encourage more mums-to-be to breastfeed and there is no better way than to see and hear how others have found it."

The event will run from 10am to 11.30am.
