MSP welcomes extra cash pledge for city
The SNP announced during the election plans for a funding "floor" to ensure no council gets less than 85 per cent of the average funding from central government to local authorities.
If applied in the current year, that would have meant an extra 22 million for the Capital.

Hide AdLocal Government Minister Aileen Campbell told Ms Dugdale that any cash for Edinburgh would be in addition to existing funding levels, including the Capital City Supplement, which recognises the extra financial burden of being the capital city of Scotland.
Ms Dugdale said: "It's a good sign the government is taking Edinburgh's case seriously and the iniquity which existed in the past looks like it's going to be rectified."
