MSP motion hails talking newspaper

EDINBURGH Southern SNP MSP Jim Eadie is hoping to secure a debate in the Scottish Parliament on the work of Lothian Sound Talking Newspaper.

The group, which provides a service to 600 blind or partially-sighted people, supplying them with up-to-date news and current affairs all taken from the Evening News, celebrates its 25th anniversary in
February.

Mr Eadie has already won support from fellow MSPs for a motion he tabled in the parliament, hailing the dedicated work of all the volunteers at Lothian Sound

He added: “I applaud Lothian Sound on its work
to provide high-quality recordings from its studio in Newington.

“I’m delighted at the level of support I have received from MSPs across the parliament and I look forward to securing a debate to coincide with the anniversary in February.”
