MSP hails EU funding boost

FUNDING which will help boost skills training in Edinburgh has been welcomed by a local MSP.

More than 30,000 people in Scotland will benefit from work or training opportunities after the Scottish Government secured more than 30 million in European social funding.

The funding support is for 73 projects in Scotland including Edinburgh. Lothians MSP Ian McKee said: "This funding will help people in Edinburgh develop the skills they need to get into work."
