MSP blasts airport fee plans

AIRPORT bosses are under more pressure to scrap a controversial drop-off charge after a second MSP lodged a motion calling for the plans to be dropped.

Margaret Smith, Liberal Democrat MSP for Edinburgh West, lodged a motion at the Scottish Parliament, following Tory Gavin Brown.

She said: "This is an unfair and unnecessary charge. I launched the online petition against the charge last week and I have now lodged a motion in parliament raising my concerns, especially on older or disabled passengers."

Airport bosses plan to introduce a 1 fee for anyone dropping off outside the terminal.
