A CRUCIAL chapter in Britain's culinary history was recognised by MPs yesterday as they marked the 150th anniversary of the marriage between fish and chips.

A Commons motion tabled by Labour's Lindsay Hoyle, backed by cross-party MPs, "celebrates with pride the culinary institution the dish has become".
