MPs iron out a new plan for scrap metal

Exporting scrap metal and old electrical goods from the UK is "nonsensical" as they provide a potential resource for this country, a committee of MPs says.

The Science and Technology Committee wants to encourage more recycling to reclaim strategic metals that are key to cutting-edge manufacturing and low carbon technology.
