MP faces calls for apology

CHIEF Secretary to the Treasury Danny Alexander today faced calls to apologise for last week's Budget ahead of an appearance before MSPs.

The Liberal Democrat was set to face questions on the impact on Scotland of the coalition Government's emergency Budget at Holyrood's finance committee.

But Labour's finance spokesman Andy Kerr today branded the MP "Tory blue with a yellow spine".
