MP blasts 'mean' benefit cut

EDINBURGH East Labour MP Sheila Gilmore has called the withdrawal of a vital disability benefit as "the meanest cut yet".

Speaking about the removal of the mobility component of disability living allowance for people in residential care, she warned both young and old would lose out.
