Mourners pay tribute to tragic mother of three

MOURNERS paid tribute to Mary McLaren at her funeral in Dundee yesterday.

Hundreds packed St Vincent's RC Church to pay their last respects to Ms McLaren, who was found dead earlier this month after going missing following a night out.

Her husband Scott, 40, and the couple's heavily pregnant daughter Sarah-Jane, 17, and her two sons Dylan, aged ten, and Aaron, 14, led the mourners.

Ms McLaren's body was found three weeks ago on an embankment in the city.

The discovery came two weeks after the 34-year-old had enjoyed a night out with her sister Michelle Rodger in Dundee city centre.

Father Vincent Coyne, leading the service, said: "Son Dylan, speaking for his brother Aaron too, beautifully put it, 'Mum is with the angels'."

Mary's body was laid to rest at Barnhill Cemetery in Broughty Ferry.

James Patrick Rae, 40, from Arbroath, appeared before a sheriff in Dundee earlier this month, charged with Mary's murder.
