Mounting up for charity

A PAIR of adventurers have raised more than £70,000 for charity after climbing Kilimanjaro.

Archie Macleran, 54, and his son, Ross, 25, from Edinburgh, decided to fundraise for the Teenage Cancer Trust.

The pair hope to reach the 100,000 mark within the next fortnight as they tackle the final leg of their fundraising.

They have spent the last few months working with the charity to organise events, including a competition to win a Toyota. Those interested in entering can buy tickets for the next week.

Ross said: "I would love it if these last couple of weeks of the appeal saw us reach the 100,000 and I'm grateful to everyone who supported Teenage Cancer Trust through us."
