Mountain task ahead for cyclists

CYCLISTS are saddling up for the first-ever Arthur's Seat Challenge, set to take place later this month.

Organised by the Bike Station, a bicycle recycling charity, the event takes place on August 22 and is open to riders of all abilities.

The event kicks off at 8.30am with free bike servicing from Dr Bike. There will also be free breakfast, which will be served from 9.30am, with the first of the challenges set to begin at 10.30am.

Challenges on offer include seeing how many laps cyclists can complete in 90 minutes, a 5km fun ride and a lap of Arthur's Seat.
