Motorists face M8 disruption

MOTORISTS face disruption as work gets under way to carry out improvements on the M8.

The eastbound on ramp at junction 3, Livingston, will be closed to allow for emergency repairs from 8pm tonight until 6am tomorrow.

The works are part of a 750,000 refurbishment of three motorway bridges being undertaken by roads agency Bear Scotland in consultation with West Lothian Council and the police.

The diversion route for the closure will be via the A899 and A89 westward to junction 3A where traffic will rejoin the M8.
