Motorist may have sparked ferry fire

A DANISH man who recharged his electric car on a passenger ferry carrying 651 people says he may have been responsible for starting a fire which wrecked several vehicles.

Soeren Ekelund said he used an ordinary extension lead, but it may not have fitted tightly to the special recharge socket on his Nissan.
