Mothers' milk courier idea

Breast milk could be couriered from pick-up points around Scotland to Glasgow, in a move to encourage more women to donate their milk.

The public health minister Shona Robison is to explore the possibility of setting up a courier service to transport donated milk to Scotland's only milk bank in Glasgow.

Aberdeen North MSP Brian Adam asked Ms Robison yesterday whether the Scottish Government intended to establish more Scottish milk banks, following correspondence from a constituent who wanted to donate her milk but was unable to travel to Glasgow.
