JK ROWLING has been named one of only a handful of self-made billionaire mothers on the planet.

American publication Forbes reported that the Harry Potter author was one of eight mothers who have amassed a fortune of at least $1 billion (675 million) through their own efforts. The magazine said there are just 70 billionaire mums across the world.
