More trains for festival-goers

MORE places will be served by late-night trains taking people home from the Capital's festivals, it has been announced.

Train operator ScotRail said there would be additional trains to Glasgow Queen Street as well as an extra Friday and Saturday train from Edinburgh to Garscadden at 12.05am.

There will also be extra services to Inverkeithing, Perth and North Berwick.

Customers travelling to and from the festivals will also benefit from more carriages on many of the existing rail services.

Steve Montgomery, ScotRail's managing director, said: "We are delighted to offer more trains and extra carriages for the 2011 festivals."
