Mobile mast on school site

SOME land on the former site of Lismore Primary is to be leased to mobile phone firm.

Telefonica O2 has had phone mast on the top of the school since 1997, but the building is now due to be demolished and the mast needs to be relocated.

A relocation site of 36 square metres has been identified on the former school site and is to be leased to the company for 25 years at a rent of 4500 a year.

The council will also get 30 per cent of any other rent revenue generated by the tower.
