Missing yachtsman last seen at Gardenstown Harbour

POLICE Scotland today appealed for the public’s help in tracing a missing yachtsman who has disappeared along with his yacht from a harbour on the Moray Firth coast.

Antonin Mican, 32, a Czech national who lives in the Banff area, was last seen during the evening of Friday 11 October, at Gardenstown Harbour on board his yacht.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “He has not been seen or heard from since. His yacht is no longer in the harbour.”

She continued: “Mr Mican may be intending on sailing to Wick using his yacht which is described as a 22ft long blue and white Jaguar 22 with one outboard engine. He is believed to have no other form of transport. Anyone with information relating to the whereabouts of Mr Mican is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101.”
