Military plane in airport emergency landing

A military aircraft circled above Edinburgh burning off fuel before making an emergency landing at the airport yesterday. The Lockheed TriStar was transporting a serviceman on compassionate grounds from RAF Akrotiri when it developed a problem with one of its wings, sparking a full emergency.

The pilot flew in a loop above the city in an attempt to burn more fuel, and landed at 1pm.
