Military chiefs fired over Poland air crash

POLAND yesterday sacked more than a dozen air force and defence ministry officials after a scathing report into last year's plane crash that killed president Lech Kaczynski and 95 others.

Last Friday's report said the crew of the plane, which crashed in fog in Russia on 10 April last year, were poorly trained and ignored safety rules.
