Midwife tells of her pride at Olympics

A MIDWIFERY lecturer from East Lothian has told of her pride at being involved in the opening ceremony for the 
Olympics.

Jane Logan, who comes from Musselburgh but now works at the University of Bedfordshire, represented the NHS in Danny Boyle’s extravaganza on Friday night.

She said Trainspotting 
director Boyle had been a constant source of support and 
encouragement.

Jane, 40, who trained as a nurse at Napier University, said: “It represented both the NHS and the University of Bedfordshire, whose own inclusive philosophy echoes that of Danny Boyle’s vision of Great Britain.

“I am truly proud to have been involved in this extraordinary event. It is a memory I will treasure forever. It has been a pleasure to meet and work for this inspirational man.”
