Midge Ure leads from the front

MUSICIAN and entrepreneur Midge Ure will be the guest speaker at a business event in the Capital designed to promote and inspire great leadership.

The former Ultravox star is a member of a leadership mentoring and coaching company called Footdown.

He will be sharing his business knowledge and experience at an event at Murrayfield Stadium on July 28.

He has been invited to speak by Cameron Thomson, who is creating a new Footdown group based in Edinburgh.

Mr Thomson said: "Footdown is absolutely committed to developing world-class leaders and the opportunity to learn from Midge's own experience will be invaluable."

Mr Thomson will be talking about his own business success and how he's been inspired by Footdown. He will also introduce Mike Roe, Footdown's chief executive and a former police commander.
