Ben More is a 3851ft Munro in the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park.

The area, one of the most scenic in Scotland, attracts thousands of visitors each year and is a popular spot for outdoor activities.

Saturday’s crash comes exactly a month after another microlight crashed in nearby Clackmannanshire.

Adrian Paterson, 49, was killed when his aircraft plunged into a field in Kennet.

He died after the microlight aircraft he was piloting crashed 100 metres into a field.

After the crash Gordon Douglas, chief flying instructor and owner of East of Scotland Microlights, a school based at East Fortune Airfield in East Lothian, which trains people to fly microlights, said that anyone wishing to fly one in the UK must have a proper pilot’s licence to reduce accidents in future.
