Mental illness costs country £100bn

FAMILY breakdown is leading to a rise in mental illness that costs more than £100 billion a year, a think-tank has warned.

Children from broken homes are more likely to suffer depression, commit crime and die younger, the Centre for Social Justice said leaving them facing half a lifetime of mental illness.
