Mental health projects win recognition

Three Edinburgh-based projects that help people to recover from mental health problems have received special recognition from the Mental Health Commission's annual Principles into Practice Awards.

Redhall Walled Garden, which helps long-term mental illness patients by offering traineeships in horticulture, won the long-term mental illness and recovery category. Meanwhile, the Early Psychosis Support service won the Care and Treatment of Younger People category, and LGBT Headspace was shortlisted in the Respect for Diversity category.
