Strathclyde Police said a group of men emerged from nearby bushes, while a second group pulled up in a white BMW. The men then smashed up the car and attacked the occupants.

Three men, aged 26, 27 and 30, were taken to hospital with stab wounds. The 30-year-old is in a stable condition and the other two have been sent home.

A fourth person in the car, a 17-year-old boy, was uninjured. Police have launched an investigation and have appealed to witnesses to come forward.

Detective Constable Alan McArthur said: "I would appeal to anyone who saw the disturbance take place that hasn't spoken to police to contact us as a matter of urgency."
